Sacrament of the Sick

"Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the priests of the Church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord…" (James 5:14-15)

The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick offers healing and strength to those facing serious illness, the challenges of aging, or difficult health concerns -- physical, emotional, or mental. Through this sacrament, Christ offers peace, courage, forgiveness, and if it serves the soul's good, even physical healing.

Today, the Church encourages the faithful to seek this sacrament not only in moments of crisis or near death, but also in times of serious illness, surgery, or ongoing health struggles. Christ desires to meet us with healing love in every season of our journey.

If you or a loved one is in need of the Sacrament of the Sick, please reach out to one of our priests. If the person is in the hospital, kindly contact the hospital's reception desk to request the Catholic chaplain.
