Legacy Giving

THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROUS FINANCIAL SUPPORT!

A planned legacy gift is a significant way to support the mission of your parish both during your life and long after.  Legacy giving involves planning to give from your assets or estate. Anyone, regardless of income or stage of life, can make a legacy gift.

Here are some key points to consider when planning your legacy giving:

  • Leaving a gift to your parish in your will helps to further the mission and pastoral outreach for today’s needs and for future generations.

  • Planned gifts can include bequests, securities, RRSP’s or RRIF’s, life insurance and gifts of real estate or other property.  Each type offers different benefits.

  • You can create a new will or update an existing one to include your planned gift.  This flexibility allows you to adapt your giving to your changing circumstances.

  • It’s always advised to consult with a financial planner or an estate lawyer to ensure your wishes are properly formalized and to understand the legal implications of your planned gift.

Every gift, no matter the size, makes a lasting difference.
