Pre-Authorized Giving

What is Pre-Authorized Giving?
Pre-authorized (PAG) is an option to give to your parish through scheduled monthly withdraws from your bank account. Once authorized, deductions are made on the 25th of each month or on the date you specify from the 1st to the 30th of a month. Your bank account will be debited to the amount you specify and these funds are then deposited directly into the parish account.

How Do I Enroll?
You can enroll in 3 easy steps!

Complete the pre-authorized registration form. The form can be completed on-line or paper. Paper copies are available in the Narthex at both parishes, or you can contact the office, and we will mail you a copy.

Decide on the amount of your monthly pledge. This will be the amount deducted from your bank account as your regular offertory. If you wish to donate for a specific cause such as Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, St. Vincent de Paul, St. Peter’s Cathedral Restoration, etc. indicate the amount under the ‘ Special Collections ‘ section of the form.

Return the form and a VOID cheque to the parish office:

Drop it off at the Parish Office (after hours it can be put in the parish mailbox)

Place in the offertory collection basket during weekend Masses

Calculating Your Monthly Pre-Authorized Giving
To help determine the amount of one’s monthly contribution, multiply your weekly offering by the 52 weeks in a year, then divide this annual contribution by 12.

How Can I Cancel Payments?
You can stop your preauthorized giving by simply sending an email with 30 days’ notice to
your parish stmichlon@dol.ca (St. Michael’s Parish) or basilica@dol.ca (St. Peter’s Cathedral). You can also contact your financial institution to stop payment.
